The Famous Five stage a mock parliament in Winnipeg, Manitoba in an effort to gain support for the woman suffrage movement in Canada.

1916

The province of Manitoba grants women the right to vote, becoming the first Canadian province to do so.

1958

Alan Burnside-Harvey, Q.C. is appointed Registrar of the Supreme Court of Canada.
