Former Chief Justice of Ontario, the Honourable John Douglas Armour is appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada as a puisne judge. Justice Armour would serve on the bench only 7 months, passing away while working in London (England) on the Alaskan Boundary Commission.
The Right Honourable Sir Henri-Elzéar Taschereau is appointed Chief Justice of Canada.
