The Honourable Louis-Philippe Brodeur is appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada as a puisne judge. A former member of Parliament and Speaker of the House of Commons, Justice Brodeur, while Minister of Naval Service, introduced the bill creating the Canadian navy in 1910.
1921
Viscount Byng of Vimy is sworn in as Canada's 12th Governor General.
