2004

The Honourable Rosalie Silberman Abella is appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada as a puisne judge. Prior to becoming a Supreme Court judge, Justice Abella became Canada's youngest judge at the age of 29 (Ontario Family Court 1976). Justice Abella was also the first Jewish woman and the first pregnant woman to be appointed judge in Canada.

2004

The Honourable Louise Charron becomes the first Franco-Ontarian to be appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada.

2011

Louise Charron retires as a puisne judge of the Supreme Court of Canada.
