Request to Use Supreme Court of Canada Photographs, Videos or Webcasts

Photographs, Videos or Webcasts

To request permission to use a photograph found on the Supreme Court of Canada’s Web site or a video recording or webcast of a hearing of the Court for personal, commercial or educational purposes, please fill out the electronic form set out below.

Conditions for use

Commercial use is subject to certain restrictions.  The use of official photographs or videos of the Court in dramatic productions or fictional films will not be authorized.

If the request is granted, a letter of agreement setting out the conditions for use of the photograph or video will be sent to the signatory of the agreement.

Fees

As set out in Schedule A to the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada, fees of $35 are applicable per audio and video recordings.

Please do not provide your credit card number or send a cheque or money order until a Communications Services staff member contacts you with the payment details. Payment must be received before the recordings can be delivered or transmitted to you. Any cheque or money order must be made payable to the “Receiver General for Canada” and sent, together with the acknowledgment of receipt confirming your request, to:
