Greening Government Operations
Green Procurement Reporting For Departments and Agencies Not Bound by the Federal Sustainable Development Act
Departments and agencies bound by the Policy on Green Procurement but not the Federal Sustainable Development Act must complete mandatory reporting on meeting the requirements of Section 7 of the Policy on Green Procurement using this section.
Strategies and/or Comments
- Communicate department wide as warranted on internal Greening initiatives
- SCC Sectors and managers to be advised of environmental impact when considering procurement options if possible.
- SCC is using PWGSC tools, like the standing offer index if possible since green initiatives are already in place where applicable.
- SCC follows PWGSC Electronic Waste Strategy for disposal of surplus electronic & electrical equipment EEE through programs such as Computers for Schools (CFS) and Crown Assets Distribution Directorate (CADD)
