Every year, the Supreme Court of Canada hires a team of students in the legal field as guide-interpreters to deliver in-person and remote tours to visitors to the Court building.

You will work on-site at the Supreme Court of Canada, a national historic site in the heart of Ottawa. Your tasks will require you to work indoors and outdoors and to interact frequently with the public.

Selection process

Eligible candidates will be selected from the ongoing student inventory generated through FSWEP. You will receive an email notice confirming that your profile has been selected for a job opportunity.

Eligible candidates will be invited to participate in interviews to evaluate their skills and personal suitability. The ability to communicate in both official languages will be assessed during this process.

All information collected during the selection process, including behaviour and communication, from the time of application to the end of the process, may be used to assess candidates and make hiring decisions.

Preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents over non-Canadian students who are eligible to work in Canada.
